Miwon launched a new tanning peptide: DermaPep™ T430
Miwon is pleased to announce the launch of a new tanning peptide,
DermaPep™ T430. DermaPep™ T430 is a topically active short peptide that exerts
effective tanning without harmful UV irradiation. It is known that exposure to UV radiation,
whether from the sun or indoor tanning salons, can cause skin burns, premature
skin aging and even seriously skin cancer.

DermaPep™ T430, acting as a melanocortin 1 receptor agonist, activates various
genes involved in the process of pigmentation. In vitro studies performed on human
melanocytes showed that DermaPep™ T430 significantly up-regulates
melanogenesis by increasing the expression of pigmentation related genes such as
tyrosinase, TRP-1, TRP-2, MITF and POMC. It was found that DermaPep™ T430 not
only shows cell protective effect on UV irradiation but also decreases UV-induced
proinflammatory cytokine productions.

In vivo clinical study was performed on 15 Caucasian volunteers, aged from 19 to
28. The study has confirmed significant decrease in luminosity (L) and ITA values
and increase in a and b values following 7 days of application.

DermaPep™ T430 can provide an ideal solution for people who want to get tans
without harmful UV-irradiation.
