Miwon launches DermaPep™ A530, a new pentapeptide designed for
anti-inflammatory and antiaging skin care products. DermaPep™ A530 as a substance
P antagonist effectively suppresses the production of UV-induced proinflammatory
cytokines.
In vitro studies performed on human keratinocytes showed that DermaPep™ A530
powerfully inhibits the UV-stimulated expression and production of various
proinflammatory cytokines such as IL-1α,IL-1β, IL-6, IL-8 and PGES.
DermaPep™ A530 is an ideal active to incorporate in cosmetic formulations designed
not only to reduce key proinflammatory cytokine productions but also to suppress the
production of the matrix metalloproteinase-1, an enzyme known to break down the
interstitial collagens.
