Miwon is pleased to announce the launch of a new antiaging peptide,
DermaPep™ A420, an innovative active ingredient specially designed for antiaging skin
care products. DermaPep™ A420, a mimic tetrapeptide of TGF-β, acts via TGF-β signaling
pathway and thereby stimulates the synthesis of ECM proteins such as collagens and
fibronectins.
In vitro studies performed on human fibroblast cells showed that DermaPep™ A420
significantly stimulate the levels of the type I procollagen and fibronectin and
increase the amount of type I procollagen and fibronectin synthesis. In vivo clinical
study was performed on 32 Asian female volunteers, aged from 35 to 62. The study
has confirmed a significant reduction of fine line and wrinkle numbers, total wrinkle
areas and total wrinkle lengths following 12 weeks of application.
